Mindfulness

Be here.
Not in the echo of yesterday,
nor in the shadow of tomorrow —
but here, in this breath.
Mindfulness is the simple act of returning —
again and again —
to the moment that has always been waiting for you.
The mind will wander;
that is its nature.
It chases sound, memory, and dream.
But like a parent calling a child home,
You can gently whisper, “Come back.”
Come back to the inhale that rises like dawn.
Come back to the exhale that softens like dusk.
Come back to the heartbeat —
the quiet drum of life beneath your ribs.
When you walk, know you are walking.
When you eat, know you are eating.
When you speak, let your words come from stillness.
When you listen, let your whole being hear.
The awakened life is not hidden in mountains or temples —
It is found in the smallest of moments:
the warmth of a cup in your hands,
the hush between raindrops,
the smile that passes between strangers.
Mindfulness is not escape — it is embrace.
It does not ask you to change the world,
only to see it clearly,
to meet each moment with gentle awareness.
Here, now, in this breath —
nothing is missing.
Nothing is lacking.
Everything is as it is.
And that is enough.
